GREAT HOLIDAYS

Best Benefits

We make life a little easier for our team. How? With a unique set of benefits that everyone can access.

Relocation Allowance

For staff joining us at our Barhaugh Hall centre in Alston, we offer a relocation allowance of £1500. This centre is our most remote and we appreciate the increased likelihood of staff needing to relocate to work here and the cost that can be involved in that. Any new Group Leader moving to live within a 16-mile radius of Barhaugh Hall can apply for this and we encourage you to discuss this with us as you progress through your application.

House Purchase Assistance

We understand that purchasing a property can be a challenge, but at Robinwood, we aim to make it easier for you. Our House Purchase Assistance Scheme allows you to apply for an interest-free loan of £2000 (£6000 at Barhaugh Hall), which we pay to your solicitor when you exchange house contracts. You can apply for this after the completion of your first year with us. If you continue working with us for a further three years, we will write the loan off.

Free Meals

Our catering teams provide balanced, filling meals and cater for all dietary requirements. All are free of charge and will fuel you up for a busy day with excited children.

Why not start the day with a sausage sandwich or a bowl of cereal? Top yourself up at lunchtime with a salad bar buffet and settle down at tea time to a hot evening meal. It’s one less thing for you to organise and pay for, and we know it makes a big difference to your working day.

Qualifications

During your induction training, you will receive your Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work qualification. Progression into other roles may require you to upgrade this to the Level 3 First Aid at Work which we would provide.

At Robinwood, you can expand your skill set by obtaining nationally recognised qualifications in archery, paddle sports, and climbing, among other areas. These qualifications may be necessary if you want to advance into more specialised positions with us. We recommend discussing the various qualifications with your line manager when you start, as they can provide you with the necessary resources and support to gain them.

Bonus Payments

The Profit Bonus (paid throughout the spring season), is a share of our annual profit. The percentage level of your bonus increases over your first five years. In 2023 we paid an average profit bonus of more than £1,000 each, to everyone (just over 250 members of staff) who helped us achieve our 2022 profit.  Our staff team make all the difference in the quality of courses we offer, so we are very happy to share our profits with them.

Pension

Robinwood operates an auto-enrolment ‘New Generation Personal Pension’ scheme through Aviva Life. Each month you, Robinwood, and HMRC contribute towards your pension. You are able to increase your contributions and you also have the option to opt out of the scheme.

Uniform

Our staff uniform includes t-shirts, jumpers, fleeces, high-quality waterproofs, and winter jackets.

Staff Discounts

Staff whose children attend a Robinwood course receive a discount. Our senior instructor team has established discounts with multiple outdoor brands, including DMM Climbing and McConks SUPs.
