"Another fabulous stay with Robinwood. The children had a wonderful stay and will have memories to cherish. The centre at Cross Lanes was amazing, the activities are close together ensuring we could still see all our children whilst engaging on different activities. Staff at Robinwood are second-to-none and ensured the children developed and were safely challenged as individuals and as a team in a safe and positive environment. All the group being close to one another with dormitory allocation helped both our staff and the children feel comfortable and safe overnight. The night time staff dealt with any needs overnight and were available for all children ensuring a good nights sleep for everyone. Excellent catering and facilities; all staff ensured dietry requirements were met with discretion. Wonderful food ! Thank you to all who made the children's stay at Cross Lanes another memorable visit!"
"I had the pleasure of working with all the different leaders at various points of the weekend and thought they were all amazing. Very professional, very encouraging of the kids, a real 'Yes you can attitude' really empowered the children, impressed with the fact that they made a very conscious effort to learn the kids names - that really bonded the group. They were firm when needed and complementary when pleased (that applied to the Night Ninja's and staff who dealt with food as well.) The fact that the staff waved the kids off - stayed with 1 group all weekend - had group photos - seemed to really enjoy being with the kids = all things that made the experience so fantastic. It is their job, but they really made us all feel that they wanted to be with the kids all day and wanted them to do well."
"Once again a massive thank you to everyone involved in the running of our course. From the booking through to the running of the course, everything was well catered for. Our next group of children are already getting excited for their Robinwood Adventure. Helpfulness of office staff - Was able to make last minute changes to the course allowing a new child to come. Overnight supervision - Having night staff means that as a teacher you are not kept awake all night worrying if the children are alright."
"Overall we had an excellent experience at Robinwood, it was very clear that all staff were highly trained and really enjoyed their jobs. We felt really looked after from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. Brochure and initial information - Lots of details given. I was very confident that I knew what to expect. Head Office staff - Always responded quickly with useful information. Booking procedure - Very easy due to helpful staff. Organisation on centre - We as a staff were confident leaving the children to be lead by the group leaders and all the staff working there. Value for money - We completed activites from arrival to departure! Every minute was filled with well thought through activities. Overall safety - It was clear everyone working there was well trained and every eventuallity had been prepared for. Overall enjoyment - Loved every minute - both the staff and the children enjoyed it all! Overall educational value - Children were learning important social skills and resilience. Achieving agreed learning objectives - I could tell the leader was focusing on my chosen objectives. Provision for children with special needs - Staff made sure they were fully aware of all needs and planned for these accordingly. Food - Staff went above and beyond to ensure everyone had something they liked to eat every day."
"This was now my eighth time visiting Robinwood and every time you continue to impress me with how you've managed to tweak and improve aspects of the centre to make the experience run even more smoothly (I especially liked the new skills shields you've got up around the site) whilst still employing and training staff to such high levels who are always extremely enthusiastic and committed to their roles. You can see from the video I recorded whilst there how much our children loved their experience and I'm constantly praising the company to other schools since I like your: food, activities, staff and sites so much!"
"Robinwood, as always, was excellent. The children had an excellent time and have not stopped talking about it since. The activities are always conducted with great care but making sure it is still extremely fun for the children. All staff were friendly and very helpful. They made our trip excellent. All activities were excellent, we always felt safe and had a great time doing all of the activities. The children benefitted from these and developed key skills such as confidence and overcame many fears ! We had a fantastic time and are looking forward to next year!"
"Very organised from the moment we arrived. No stress for school staff or children. We looked at other residential providers and Robinwood definitely was the best value for money. At no point on our residential did we feel that children or staff were not safe. All the Robinwood staff were confident and evidently highly trained. All children and staff rated this experience as unmissable and high quality. Children learnt lots of skills that are difficult to teach in a classroom situation with the pressure of SATs and grades. All staff at Robinwood showed an understanding of our children with SEN and knew how to adapt activities in an inclusive and supportive way. Teachers' rooms were clean, comfy and close to the children. Children loved the dormitories. Children loved the variety of food to offer. Fussy eaters were provided for on a personal level and allergies were noted and adhered to. We loved the fact that there was always fresh fruit and water available between activities."
"We really felt the children received value for money and realise that good activities and safety do come at a cost. Lessons outside the classroom are as vital as those within. All of the staff were friendly, encouraging and enthusiastic with the children. We couldn't have asked for better leaders. Food - Wow, what a variety and all gorgeous. We are all on diets now! We loved the trip. The children are still talking about it and we have looked at dates for next year already. Many thanks for all your hard work and support."
"Can't fault anything - children enjoyed everything. Safety obviously paramount and clear on all activities. Staff make very sure that everyone stays safe. Staff before trip and during made sure that all children could access as much as possible. Probably not the cheapest but no scrimping anywhere, food sizes amazing - even the children's, seemed to be spare staff available at all times even though leader said you were slightly understaffed at the minute. To see everything that all staff do and the amount of activities the children get to do must be good value for money. Overnight Supervision - Amazing - staff do everything, we were not needed for anything. Bedrooms spotless, all rooms clean and tidy. Impressive given size of building and number of people accessing. Good meals, good sizes, just what you need after a full day. Very good with special diets and allergies."
"Everything ran very smoothly and thoroughly. The children were enthusiastic throughout and enjoyed every moment. Saw a different side of each child this weekend and they saw a different side of each other which was fantastic. Since returning to school, the children keep asking if they will ever see their Group Leaders again, which shows how much of a positive and lasting impact they had on them in such a short period of time. Diabetic and coeliac child was very well catered for. Night staff were brilliant in helping make provisions for diabetic child. Our Course Leader discussed with us the best way to deal with any children that we thought might be a problem during the night and this was taken on board and used effectively."
