Working alongside our Group Leaders and Activity Centre Assistants, are our brilliant support staff. These staff members offer more specialist support in areas such as catering, housekeeping and maintenance. LEAD COOK
Lead Cooks play a vital role in our centres – making sure that every child, teacher and staff member is fuelled and ready to go.
For teachers, this is a load off their shoulders, knowing not only that we have the children’s needs catered for, but also that they can sit back, relax and have a delicious, home-cooked meal served to them while the children eat.
For staff, a hot meal waiting for you on a cold day is a welcome sight in the staff room. The kitchen team are a vital and integrated part of the team, with social and wellbeing events available to everyone, and a great opportunity to get to know each other.
A working week could be leading meals in the kitchen, or it could be taking oversight of schools at mealtimes, making sure the schools are being well looked after. Whichever shift you’re on, you’ll be part of a team all focused on delivering excellence – and in a positive, rewarding role.
HOUSEKEEPING
This role involves providing clean, comfortable teacher rooms ready for arrival, and cleaning communal areas of the activity centre. Some cleaning experience is useful but not essential, as long as you can demonstrate high standards, self-motivation and a good work ethic.
Some previous work in a childcare setting is useful, as well as excellent customer care skills and the ability to be positive, professional and supportive of others at all times.
