Activity Centres

Robinwood has three Activity Centres all of which have fantastic indoor and outdoor provision, able to offer the ultimate Robinwood timetable with 15 activity sessions packed into a 3 day course. More information on each centre is detailed below.

Dobroyd Castle

Todmorden, Lancashire

Dobroyd Castle is set high up on the Todmorden moors enjoying some fantastic views of the surrounding area. It is a historic, grade two star listed building, with wonderful architecture including a breathtaking main entrance hall. The 17 acres of grounds, which accommodate Robinwood adventure and teamwork activities, are also home to a wide range of wildlife including deer, rabbits and many more.

Barhaugh Hall

Alston, Cumbria

Barhaugh Hall is set in over 9 acres of land and lies on the Cumbria / Northumbria border. For those wishing to have a wonderful experience in a really beautiful part of the countryside, Barhaugh Hall will certainly not disappoint. The views over the valley are breathtaking whatever the weather and the wildlife living in the area such as deer and the famous red squirrel are a joy to see and can sometimes be spotted during the walk into the centre or around the beautiful grounds.

Maes-y-Nant

Cross Lanes, Wrexham

Maes-y-Nant activity centre is our newest centre and is set in the beautiful Welsh countryside just outside of Wrexham. Maes-y-Nant dates back to the late Victorian era when it was built as a private house in around 1870. Its name Maes-y-Nant when translated means ‘house by a stream’. In 1959 the house was sold and converted to a hotel with many of its original features being preserved to this day.
