GROUP LEADER TRAINING
NO EXPERIENCE, NO PROBLEM
Whilst you will have experience working with groups of children, you may never have worked in an activity centre setting before, and that is totally ok. Our induction training programme is specifically designed to make every Group Leader an expert in child development and activity leadership.
We have thought of everything you need to understand your new role at Robinwood. This isn’t off the shelf training courses that leave you guessing the relevance to what you’re going to do, these are crafted and developed in house to ensure that every minute of training meets your needs.
ONE TEAM
No Group Leader starts alone here. The peer support and camaraderie found in a training group has a hugely positive impact on your wellbeing with a bond being formed between you that lasts long past your probation.
Training in teams also allows it to be more practical, giving you the chance to learn these new skills through physical practice and observation. We actively encourage discussions and question asking, leaning into the expertise of our trainers and also the previous experience from within your group.
INVESTING THE TIME
Induction training happens over your first 8 weekends of employment. Between these weekends, you’ll put that training into practice before putting it into action with your own group, at around week 6 of your training. Before you have completed your first 6 months with us, you will have also received some advanced training on customer care, building on the knowledge and experience gained to date.
CUSTOMER FOCUSSED
As employee owners all our staff understand the connection between outstanding customer service and the satisfaction of both a job well done, and the success of our organisation. By delivering the very best, customer focussed courses, our schools come back year on year, with some having a waiting list for teachers to be able to attend.
