OUR ACTIVITY CENTRES

YOUR NEW OFFICE

Where you choose to work has a huge impact on your wellbeing and happiness. And that’s not just the company; it’s the location too. Discovering a career that gives you huge job satisfaction and is located somewhere that makes your hobbies and interests accessible is a rare find indeed.

We have three incredible activity centres for you to decide between, each delivering the same excellent staff benefits, training and career prospects, whilst boasting its own uniqueness and charm.

FIND THE CENTRE THAT FITS

Each of our centres are driven by the same values and operate the same high quality, customer focussed course for visiting schools so the choice of centre for you is driven by its location.

We advise living within a 45-minute commute of the centre you are working at and ideally within 30 minutes. The action-packed nature of the shifts at Robinwood means a lengthy commute can make for a very tiring day. It is important to us that our staff have considered this and the impact this could have on their wellbeing.

To help with this we offer a re-location grant, of £2,000 to support high quality applicants that relocate to join our team, which means an additional £2,000 is included in the first months’ pay.

Being awarded a re-location grant is dependent on performance within the selection process, and the needs of each Robinwood Centre.

We currently have re-location grants available for new starters appointed to start at Barhaugh Hall, Alston, Cumbria.

BARHAUGH HALL - ALSTON, CUMBRIA

Pronounced ‘Baa-huf’

Our northernmost centre is set in the most stunning Northumbrian countryside. It is a must-join-centre for those looking for easy access into the great outdoors on their days off. With the Lake District as your back garden, anyone with a love for fell walking, mountaineering or paddling will be spoilt for choice of what to do. A quick hop over Hadrian’s wall has you holidaying in Scotland, and with 12 weeks off across the year to play with there will be no end to your adventures.

The ability to drive and owning a vehicle is highly recommended for working at Barhaugh Hall, as the centre is located outside of a town with no public transport running near it. Its rural location adds to its charm making this the perfect setting for you to enthuse and inspire hundreds of children every year.

DOBROYD CASTLE - TODMORDEN, WEST YORKSHIRE

Pronounced ‘Dob-royd’

The picturesque town of Todmorden opens straight onto The Pennine Way offering you endless walking, running and mountain biking routes to explore. The Yorkshire Dales and Peak District are around an hour away if you’re looking for some outdoor adventure a little further afield. If you are after a more urban playground, you can find yourself in Manchester within half an hour or Leeds in 45 minutes by train.

Dobroyd Castle really is a hidden gem, stealthily sat above the town of Todmorden and is easily commutable by foot or car. As our biggest centre it really makes an impression on both the staff team and our customers. Who wouldn’t want to work at a castle?

MAES Y NANT - WREXHAM, NORTH WALES

Pronounced ‘Mye-is-uh Nant’

Just over the border into Wales, we have our newest centre, poised ready to welcome anyone excited to paddle, walk and explore their way around the beautiful Dee Valley. A hop, skip and jump further and you’re heading for adventures in Snowdonia, Anglesey and the northern coastline. Within an hour you are in Liverpool for some shopping or the airport for your holidays. Chester and its zoo are 30 minutes away adding to the endless options of activities for your days off.

Maes y Nant is a short commute by car from Wrexham and within a 25-minute cycle for those preferring pedal power. Your own mode of transport is recommended for this centre, though not essential. This sunny and welcoming centre is situated just perfectly.

RELOCATING

We recognise that some of our new starters may relocate from quite a distance to join us. If this is you, don’t be put off – we want to help you.

Supporting our team from the beginning is an essential part of welcoming them to the team, regardless of whether they need to move for the job or not. We set up a community for everyone starting at that centre to connect, look at housing options and learn about the area. This community is headed by a dedicated Assistant Manager from the centre who supports each person on the build-up to their first day of employment.
