12. Team Challenge

Indoor Activity

Available at: BHDCMNOS

Most of our activity sessions take place with one activity group and their group leader at a time, but for team challenge we get a number of activity groups together one evening for various inter-group challenges. This is an opportunity for the whole school group to share experiences. Teachers, children, group leaders and course leaders spend time together, taking part in stimulating and fun challenges. We have a lot of different options for team challenge activities and in order that we can run a team challenge that is right for each school, we invite teachers to choose activities and have some input on the way team challenge operates, before the session starts. Although scheduled as an indoor session schools sometimes choose to do part of team challenge outdoors.

Other Activities at Robinwood

We have 15 high quality activity sessions. Although most are offered at all Robinwood centres, there are some which only operate at selected centres. All centres run a very similar, busy programme with typically 15 activities packed in to the three days at Robinwood. There are slight variations in activities offered at each centre and the activity programme also varies according to the time of year.

What Schools say about our activities

We really appreciate all the recommendations we get from schools who have visited Robinwood and the number of schools who come for the first time as a result of recommendations from friends and colleagues. We are constantly updating the comments from schools who have recently attended a Robinwood Course. The schools that attend come from areas of the Midlands, throughout the North of England and up into Scotland. But don’t just take our word for it, See what they have to say about robinwood. "Alien Conspiracy - This was an excellent activity and it really built on our children's orienteering skills. Bouldering - Excellent. This was our first activity and it really got the children excited and it challenged them. Caving - This was something different and really explored the concept of teamwork. Climbing - We did this activity twice and the second time the children really challenged themselves. Crate Challenge - The children really enjoyed this activity as it focused on working together as a team. Dungeon - The mathematical aspects of this challenge was brilliant. The problem solving approach really promoted teamwork. Night Line - Our children really found this activity interesting as they had to listen to the instructions. It was very entertaining. Piranha Pool - This was the best activity. The children were already hyped for the activity and really believed that there were piranha's. They were all soaking wet but they had a brilliant time. Team Challenge - Children enjoyed working as a team. Trapeze - All of our children challenged themselves to try and get to the top. Many of them managed to jump off and catch the trapeze."
