Making a Booking
We can accommodate parties of anything from 20 to 180 children at Robinwood North Pennines (Alston), 20 to 90 children at The Old School(Todmorden)and 20 to 280 at Dobroyd Castle (Todmorden.

Booking conditions
All parties attending Robinwood are split into ‘activity groups’ with a maximum of 13 children in each activity group. When you make a booking, you don’t need to confirm the exact number of children that will be attending as we realise this is extremely difficult to do a long way in advance of the trip. We just ask you to confirm the number of activity groups you would like to book for, which in turn fixes the minimum charge for your party and the maximum number of children in your party as follows:

Course dates can be saved provisionally for your party, with no obligation, for up to three weeks whilst you contact parents and make any other necessary arrangements.
At the end of this three week period we need to receive from you, a signed booking form, together with an initial deposit payment of £100 per activity group (around £10 per child) in order to confirm your booking.
As soon as we have your booking form and initial deposit payment, your booking is secure.
There are then two further payment dates:
- A second deposit of £200 per activity group (around £20 per child) is due 8 weeks after the first deposit payment.
- The completion payment for the whole course is due 6 weeks before the course takes place.
Flexibility in final numbers
Our system of booking for a fixed number of activity groups rather than a fixed number of children has proved popular with many schools. As long as you remain within the minimum and maximum limits stated, the actual numbers of children can vary right up until the date of the course and we will only charge for the number of children that actually attend.
Adult places free of charge
All adults attend free of charge. We recommend that there is one accompanying adult for each activity group, but are quite flexible about the total number of adults attending. If more adults would like to attend we can generally accommodate up to a maximum of 2 adults per activity group booked, but it is always best to talk this through with us first so we can explain the accommodation available. Our supervision level is such that it is also not a problem if you would like to bring fewer than 1 adult per activity group.
Insurance : £5 per child
We always recommend that schools take out our travel insurance (pdf 289kb) option unless the school or L.E.A. already has cover for the group, which includes the coach journey to and from Robinwood Activity Centre.
Coach transport : Quotes given
Robinwood work closely with coach companies local to the activity centres. We are happy to arrange a quote for return transport from school, for your Robinwood visit. It is then up to you whether you would like to book with this coach company or make your own arrangements.
