Autumn
Autumn courses provide a great opportunity to develop team work for groups of children in a different environment at the start of the school year.
The schools that regularly attend these courses tell us of how they reap the benefits of the Robinwood experience, throughout the rest of the school year. Teachers have the opportunity to stand back and see the way that children respond and develop throughout the 3 days, whilst the children are instructed by their group leader and other Robinwood staff.
In the late Autumn as the nights draw in we still operate a full activity programme . We have floodlighting in many activity areas so that these activities can continue in the late afternoon and evening. We also have many indoor facilities, available for use.
A brilliant visit. From the welcome to the send off the staff seem relentlessly CHEERFUL. This helps enormously, as many of our 9 year olds have never been away from home before. The staff are demonstrably appreciative of each other - introducing additional staff to help on an activity, or just passing a colleague working in the grounds. Hi-fives, encouraging comments and mutual respect makes excellent role-modelling for the children. Congratulations on doing the impossible - allowing modern children to experience very challenging situations. Can we do it? Yes we can!
