Dobroyd Castle is a 19th century mansion set high up on the Todmorden moors enjoying some fantastic views of the surrounding area and accommodated up to 285 children. The castle has both architectural and historical significance in the area. It was built in the 1860s by local mill owner John Fielden It stands in 17 acres of grounds allowing most of our activities to take place within the grounds of the centre. We offer all of our most popular activities at Dobroyd Castle.
We have indoor facilities for Archery, Climbing, Caving, Piranha Pool, Dungeon of Doom, Quest, Trapeze and Team Challenge.
Activities within the grounds include Zip Wire, Giant Swing, Obstacle Course, Night Line and Problem Solving. A purpose built lake within the grounds is the perfect location for canoeing and raft building in shallow, sheltered water.
