Outdoor Activity

Available at: BHDC

Zip wire is a real thrill activity, which is great for group support and encouragement, individual confidence and achievement. There are two zip wires from each platform, in order to reduce waiting time and maximize group involvement. Children wear a helmet and a full body safety harness, as they do for the trapeze session. They are roped on from the moment they leave the ground, with rigorous safety standards carefully enforced by our instructors throughout.

Other Activities at Robinwood

We have 15 high quality activity sessions. Although most are offered at all Robinwood centres, there are some which only operate at selected centres. All centres run a very similar, busy programme with typically 15 activities packed in to the three days at Robinwood. There are slight variations in activities offered at each centre and the activity programme also varies according to the time of year.

What Schools say about our activities

We really appreciate all the recommendations we get from schools who have visited Robinwood and the number of schools who come for the first time as a result of recommendations from friends and colleagues. We are constantly updating the comments from schools who have recently attended a Robinwood Course. The schools that attend come from areas of the Midlands, throughout the North of England and up into Scotland. But don’t just take our word for it, See what they have to say about robinwood. "Fantastic three days away - thank you ! Very well organised and transition between activities was faultless. Leaders/instructors are very welcoming/friendly. Great opportunities for children to build self confidence in a range of activities that stretch them. All activities were excellent for promoting self confidence and team building skills. All children can achieve something at Robinwood regardless of ability. Children found it hard to pick a favourite activity. Children kept safe at all times. Food was delicious and plenty of it. Children were able to eat snacks between activities."
